My 5 Ws

WHO

Besides being a wife, mother and grandma, designing, and quilting bring me to my happy place. Recently retired as a flight attendant, I now have the time to play with my creative quilty side.

WHAT

Manipulating fabric to create unique designs, especially different font styles, makes me giddy. In college, studying graphic design, I always said I'd specialize in lettering. Little did I know it would be with fabric and not the printed page.

WHEN

I started sewing when I was ten years old. Saving up all my money, I bought my first sewing machine before my eleventh birthday. I guess I've been creating ever since.

WHERE

We raised our family in Nova Scotia. Although our children's jobs have taken them all over Canada, my husband and I remain in this beautiful province on the east coast of Canada.

WHY

I love that we all have something special to offer on this journey of life... everyone bringing a little something different to the table. I feel so fortunate that I get to love what I do. I've met so many like-minded people along the way and get to call them friends. I never tire of the design process from the initial computer stages, to the completed creation!
